About Us

Elmoshneb Advisory is a boutique advisory firm working on leadership, governance, and inclusive growth. The firm works with banks, financial institutions, growing family businesses (100+ employees), and public entities across Egypt and the Middle East.

Engagements are designed for organizations seeking clarity, structure, and credibility without building large internal teams. Advisory support focuses on leadership, governance, and inclusion where long-term impact, accountability, and institutional credibility matter..

Laila Mahmoud Elmoshneb is an advisor with over 25 years of experience working across multicultural organizational environments in Egypt and the GCC.

Her work focuses on strengthening leadership effectiveness, governance systems, ESG and inclusion-responsive decision-making helping organizations translate strategy, policy, and commitments into practical structures that improve performance, accountability, and resilience.

Laila’s career spans international donor organizations, government, and higher education. She has worked with bilateral and multilateral partners including USAID, the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), and UN agencies, and served in government as Advisor to the Egyptian Minister of Planning and Economic Development, leading work on reskilling irregular workers impacted by COVID-19.

In academia, she served as Assistant Dean at the American University in Cairo (AUC) and as Associate Director of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Initiative, where she supported women entrepreneurs and led leadership and institutional capacity-building programs. Her work with banks, non-bank financial institutions, regulators, and public institutions reflects a deep understanding of regulated environments, governance requirements, and stakeholder expectations.

Laila brings a distinctive perspective shaped by having worked inside donor institutions, as an implementing partner, and as an independent advisor allowing her to bridge public-private expectations and design solutions that are ambitious, grounded, and implementable.

How We Work

Elmoshneb Advisory works closely with senior leaders, boards, and institutional teams as a trusted thought partner. Our role is to help clients clarify priorities, design sound frameworks, and make informed decisions at the intersection of leadership, governance, and inclusion.

Our engagements are intentionally tailored. We do not offer pre-packaged solutions or generic toolkits. Instead, we begin by understanding each institution’s context, constraints, and ambitions, and then provide advisory support that is practical, grounded, and aligned with how decisions are actually made.

We work through a mix of focused advisory assignments, retained advisory support, and time-bound strategic projects. Where implementation support is required, we collaborate with internal teams or trusted partners—while maintaining an independent advisory role that emphasizes coherence, accountability, and long-term institutional impact.
